Orphaned Land

Orphaned Land

What happens to the land when the coal is gone?
That is the question for the Northumberland County Commissioners when looking at over 6000 acres of former coal mines in their community of under 100,000 residents. The land is a problem offering seclusion for criminal activity like illegal mining, trespassing, drug dealing, poaching, dumping and deforestation. The aggressive terrain demands cautious behavior and is perfect for illicit activities.

Is this land worthy of a second chance?
I think so and so did most of the people in Northumberland County. After decades of dreaming and planning the coal land will get a second chance with a grant to develop a master plan to turn the tormented acreage into a recreation area. They call it the AOAA You can check out the site here http://www.anthraciteadventure.com/pages/Home.aspx.
I will continue to support the project and, full disclosure, I have been dreaming and planning with them for over three years also. I want to help bring my skills to the ancient mountains to help make the AOAA a reality. Maybe you have a gift that you could share too.

Here is what I am focused on:
1) Communications
2) Real Time Location Systems
